It’s officially SPRING, and we all know what that means — outdoor events, live music, food festivals, brewery tours & more. This is what city-living is all about. Sometimes there are so many things going on that it’s hard to decide exactly what to do. We polled our local agents (that’s right! The same group of REAL people that help y’all out with apartment searches daily) and came up with 5 of our favorite spring events in Dallas.
You don’t want to miss this three day event in the heart of Deep Ellum. Six blocks worth of Main St. will be shut-down & transformed into a street-festival. 200 artists, 100 bands and 6 stages, enough said. A great chance to get a feel for what living in Deep Ellum is all about – community, music & art. The best part is it’s FREE.
#2 White Rock – Dallas Blooms | Now – April 8th
If you haven’t already made it, this weekend is your last chance to experience the Dallas Blooms event at the Dallas Arboretum. This is one of the busiest times of the year for the Arboretum, and rightfully so. The tulips are in bloom, the spring flowers are budding & the weather is perfect. What’s not to love? If you’re stuck in the concrete jungle that is the city of Dallas daily, it’s nice to take a stroll through the flowers and enjoy this beautiful slice of nature just 10 mins from the city-center.
It’s officially CRAWFISH season. And if we’re being honest, craft beer & mud-bugs are a match made in heaven. We love Trinity Groves & Four Corners beer and can’t imagine a better place for a crawfish boil. Get this one on your calendars, people! Don’t miss out.
Maybe you’re fancy? Or just like to wear ridiculous hats? Either way, this is the perfect even for you. Start picking out your favorite derby dress and seersucker for a day of mint julips, southern food, lawn games & horse races! Tickets start at $150.
Everyone knows the margarita machine was invented in Dallas, right? If not, now you do. Dallasites have high standards when it comes to their margaritas & this is the perfect event for any marg-snob. This year the Margarita Meltdown will be held at the Dallas Farmers Market. More details will be announced soon. In the meantime, get your tickets & have another fun local event to look forward to this Spring!
